St. Paul's Bay, Malta tourist information
photo: Boats in St. Paul's Bay St. Paul's Bay is named after Saint Paul the Apostle who, according to legend, was shipwrecked here. The greater St. Pauls Bay area consists of the resort towns of Qawra, Bugibba and Mellieha in this north west region of Malta. The population of the wider St. Pauls Bay area quadruples in summer as tourists and locals crowd the popular holiday areas. There isn't much to see and do in St. Pauls Bay itself although the bay is picturesque enough with its sprinkling of boats and calm, cobalt waters. Holidaymakers usually pass the area by on their way to the resort towns, which, in a way, can be reason enough to come here. |
