Mnajdra temples, Malta

photo: The ancient Mnajdra temples

The Mnajdra temples sit on the southern coast of Malta just 500 metres from the Hagar Qim temples. The temples were built over 4000 years ago and no written evidence exists to suggest the use of the coralline limestone constructions. Ceremonial objects have been found within the structures that may indicate their use as temples. Ancient stone tables and benches are also found here.
