Bugibba, Malta tourist information Bugibba is one of Malta's largest resort towns, having grown from a small fishing village in to a busy holiday destination offering plenty of accommodation and activities to suit all tastes and budgets. Bugibba offers plenty of places to go sunbathing although there is no sandy beach here. Watersports are a popular pastime in Bugibba where snorkelling and swimming can be enjoyed and the seafront promenade and surrounding area has a whole host of shops, restaurants, hotels, holiday apartments and English style pubs. The bus station in neighbouring Qawra provides bus services along the whole of the northern coast of Malta with regular services to Valletta. The tourist sprawl of both towns merge almost in to one huge resort, popular with package tour operators because of the plentiful holiday accommodation and facilities. Although the town of Bugibba looks a little tatty and tired these days it still remains the busiest resort in Malta welcoming large numbers of British tourists every year.
